+To Protect A Child+

We protect our young
No room to dispute
This is how we have clung

We ingest their pain
Despise the brute
Who attempts to drain

They hold close to our ways
Set the tone for our hearts
As they grow and we raise

They hold value to us all
To love, continue or restart
Never standing by to watch them fall

One would see a child
And become far more riled
Than if the victim was an adult
For a child is seen as innocent of insult
An infant, a child is free of guilt and of sin
They are required and they are pure
For this they pay a price in thin
They need us to be secure
Us they're elders

Helpless is as you may be
We shall always protect thee
